Very true Mr Jillings

We need to find the way forward for OSY and racing outboards to attend the National series in numbers, as stated at our drivers forum there are only 4 outboard rounds and possibly 5 OSY rounds,1 of them is at Oulton Broad from where most of the hydroplanes originate.

I do hope that the hydro drivers at the meeting in December will look long and hard towards 2009 to to find ways to put on 4 / 5 well attended events at different circuits with some close racing and a handicap system that suits the vast majority of outfits and spectators. Dont let it get pollitical because then the hydro classes in UK will surely decline in future years.

I am sure all clubs officials and CRC will back new sensible ideas put forward, however radical, if it means the national hydro racing series will be close well supported and enjoyable for all.

Good luck fellas

It is true that things are going to get difficult, so that is why it is important for the way forward to be looked at with regards the Hydro Nationals and trying to find a way to encourage more people to participate....

Rex are you trying to say that money may be tight this coming season? and there was me thinking that it was all hype by the conservative party.

A Quote from Dave Weaver 250 driver USA.
2009 WILL BE A BRUTAL YEAR for discretionary spending, and beleave that powerboat racing QUALIFIES as descretionary spending for most of us. I think this will be the same in the UK.
food for thought.
